The AZEC Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) is in charge for supporting the operation of AMM. Additional meetings may be held at any levels, as appropriate, by the decision of AMM. The important decisions of the AMM may be reported to the Leaders of respective AZEC Partner Countries at least once a year in principle.

SOM would be held in regular basis as appropriate. The Chair of SOM may decide to call additional meetings on an ad hoc basis. SOM may review and evaluate the items to be discussed and decided by AMM and make recommendations as appropriate, while overseeing various issues under AZEC. SOM would be convened with the attendance of all AZEC Senior Officials including their proxies and via online.

AMM and SOM may decide to allow the participation of observers, including those representing business entities involved in the AZEC activities.
